Salt and Silence II

from $50.00

A second perspective of the stranded vessel along the quiet shoreline of Sea Girt reveals a different kind of stillness. From this angle, the ship feels less like a spectacle and more like a relic, resting in the open stretch of sand and winter surf, weathered by wind and tide. The Atlantic moves steadily beside it, indifferent and eternal.

This image continues the story of endurance and pause; of something built for distance finding itself grounded, suspended between sea and shore.

Kimberly Farro is the photographer and artist behind Tide and Pine Photography Company, LLC.

Her love for photography began in her late teenage years when she was gifted her first camera, a gesture that quietly shaped the course of her life. What started as long days photographing wildlife along the shoreline and wandering through pine forests with a camera in hand became a lifelong study of light, atmosphere, and the poetry of place.

Raised between the salt air of the coast and the stillness of the pines, Kimberly’s work is rooted in observation. She is drawn to fleeting light, subtle motion, negative space, and the quiet tension between land and sky. Her imagery is less about documenting a scene and more about preserving a feeling; the hush before sunrise, wind threading through tall grasses, the way water holds light for just a second longer than expected.

With a background in marketing and visual storytelling, Kimberly approaches each piece with intention, considering not just the image itself, but how it will live in a space. Her fine art work is created to be collected. To be lived with. To soften a room. To anchor a wall. To bring a sense of calm, nostalgia, and quiet depth into the everyday.

These prints are not about perfection. They are about presence. About atmosphere. About honoring the beauty that already exists in the in-between.

Each image is an invitation to be still and feel what otherwise might go unnoticed.
